Artist Inspiration: Using a palette of just five colors—Payne’s Grey, Mars Black, Titanium White, Burnt Umber, Cadmium Yellow, and Alizarin Crimson—I crafted a portrayal of a great tit, a sparrow-like bird, perched delicately on a fallen log. The painting captures the quiet simplicity of a winter scene, showing the little songbird singing earnestly amidst the deep woods on a frosty morning.
