This charming little painting seemed to evolve naturally from within me, featuring a delightful palette of soft pastel colors. I followed my usual methodical approach, starting from the distant background and gradually moving towards the foreground. It’s interesting to note that what started as a vision of blue flowers along the horizon’s edge transformed into a serene pond, and I happily yielded to the canvas plan. In doing so, as is often the case with me, an entirely fresh artwork was born, much different from my original plan.
To tie in the colors, I integrated the warm tones of a sunrise with the corresponding yellow blossoms, which I later refined into daffodils by simply adding subtle hints of orange. As a final touch, I delicately painted a faint formation of birds in flight, aligning with the existing visual direction of the artwork.
When I gaze upon this artwork, an immediate sense of tranquility washes over me, as if my stress levels decrease in an instant. It takes me to a serene North Idaho deck, where I can envision myself holding a cup of morning tea while immersing myself in the picturesque scene. I take particular pleasure in the graceful curves and the gentle movement offering a serene escape into the natural world.
