In preparing for the 2024 World Cup in Sun Valley, I wanted to capture the power and grace of a skier I admire. On this massive canvas, a dynamic female racer carves confidently around the gates, her hair streaming behind her, Baldy Mountain looming as the perfect backdrop. I painted her in a vibrant blue suit with bold orange highlights to show her strength and precision. For me, this piece is all about the rush of the turn, the beauty of the slopes, and celebrating the spirit of skiing at its most thrilling.
