Artist Inspiration: Gill’s Gold is a dramatic, backlit scene capturing the fierce elegance of a golden eagle mid-strike as it seizes a robust rainbow trout. Measuring 8 feet by 6 feet, this oil painting was created to anchor their 12×13-foot entry wall and makes full use of its scale to immerse the viewer in a single, electrifying moment of nature. Water sprays, feathers lift, and sunlight glows as the eagle’s wings explode with motion, suspending the viewer in a spectacular display of wild precision and beauty. Rendered in cadmium yellow, dioxazine purple, hot orange, ultramarine blue, and vivid teal, the rich palette adds intensity and vibrancy, emphasizing the raw power and golden glow of this Idaho predator.
