Just One (Prints)

As I brainstormed wine-related imagery for this particular piece to fulfill a wine label commission, I was captivated by the idea of depicting a moonlit scene. Choosing a dynamic palette of glowing colors, the canvas comes alive with yellow spring, vibrant green, and deep midnight blue hues, set against the backdrop of ghostly trees. In the foreground, a bushy-tailed fox delicately extends towards a cluster of grapes as he balances on his tiptoes, its posture almost whimsical in its attempt. The scene alludes to Aesop’s fable of the fox and the grapes, where the fox, unable to reach the grapes, dismisses them as sour. However, in this rendition, the grapes appear irresistibly sweet, challenging the viewer to reconsider the fox’s perception.
