Helenma’s Moon

While sitting at a summer art show with time to spare, I found myself with two pre-framed canvases and a touch of inspiration. My sweet stepmother, Helenma, hadn’t yet had a painting created in her honor, so instead of one, I painted two complementary pieces. Each painting can stand alone, but when placed side by side, they unite into a single, cohesive scene.

Helenma’s Moon, the right piece, captures a dreamy, evening Idaho landscape, with a glowing moon perched high above the mountains. Its soft light kisses the prairie below, casting a serene glow across the landscape.
