Artist Inspiration: I titled this painting Great Start because those were the exact words the gallery owner said when I showed him my sketch for this World Cup 2025-inspired piece. The painting captures a skier bursting through the canvas in a bold explosion of snow and color, with every stroke radiating energy and motion. I had so much fun creating this piece, especially working on the skier’s shiny, reflective helmet. It’s such a striking detail that brings the action to life. This one truly embodies the thrill and spirit of the sport, and I hope it inspires the same excitement I felt while painting it.
