Description
I created this painting with a five-color palette to capture the nostalgic charm of a Midwestern landscape. The tall grass sways in the breeze, leading the eye to a small, sentimental homestead tucked along a winding road. The sky reflects the glow of a late evening sunset, giving the scene a quiet, steel Prairie feel. The row of telephone poles draws attention to the heart of the painting hence the title, Calling Home. If you look closely, you’ll see a small blackbird perched on one of the poles, bringing a touch of life to this peaceful, wind-swept scene.
