Orders are typically processed within 5 business days after payment is received.

Shipping Costs:

A flat shipping fee of $4.95 will be applied to all orders of cards and prints. Orders for cards and prints $71 or more will receive free shipping. Call for shipping and handling pricing of originals.

Delivery Time:

Please allow 7-14 business days for domestic delivery.

International orders may take longer, varying based on the destination.

Hand-embellished work may take up to two months due to artist availability, order processing, handword, oil paint drying, packing, and shipping

Order Tracking:

Tracking information will be provided once your order has been shipped.

Return Policy:

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are not happy with your order, you may return it within 3 days from the date of delivery.

The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

We do not currently offer exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order.

Return Process:

To initiate a return, please contact us by emailing heatherscolorsllc@gmail.com or by calling us at 208-738-5511. Provide your order number and reason for the return.

Once we receive the returned item and confirm its condition, we will process the refund within 10 working days. The refund will be issued to the original payment method.

Damaged or Defective Items:

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately with photos of the product. We will arrange for a replacement or help to file an insurance claim in the case of an original painting.

On a grand canvas, I sought a bold subject and found my inspiration in a lion. It was a bold choice, but one that I couldn’t resist. Capturing the full head of the lion against a vibrant environmental backdrop injected a dynamic intensity into the piece. The struggle with the reflection and the challenge of capturing the perfect angle of perspective only fueled my determination to bring this magnificent creature to life on the canvas.

Those piercing eyes were the true test, as I sought to convey the lion’s intense focus as it lapped up the cool waters. The contrast between the deep, rich burgundy-black background and the lion’s vibrant golden coat, punctuated by flashes of fiery orange in its mane, brought a striking intensity to the work.

In the midst of my creative process, it was the final touches that truly brought the painting to life. It was the a subtle yet powerful addition of powder-blue swipes across the lion’s nose that helped to make its face pop from the canvas. I vividly remember the moment the title came to me. Frustrated with the initial challenge of capturing the perfect distance between the lion’s eyes, I casually remarked to my daughter about the difficulties of painting those lion eyes. In that moment, the title, “Those Lion Eyes,” punny and descriptive, effortlessly emerged.

Reflecting on my journey with this painting, I can confidently say that it has become one of my favorite works. It embodies the very essence of the lion’s spirit, strength, and untamed beauty, and every stroke and color choice seems to echo the raw power and magnificence of the king of the jungle.
