The mother wolf anchors the composition, planted firmly in the foreground. There’s strength in her stance—protective, proud. Behind her, two pups lift their snouts to the night sky, mid-howl, caught in that perfect adolescent imitation of belonging to something bigger. One is a soft, dreamlike blue—the other, smaller and bright as moonlight. The backdrop almost steals the scene: an old, forgotten barn leans into the landscape, full of character. Its wide doors and broken windows hint at stories long past—a relic of human presence in an otherwise wild moment. Once purposeful, now it just holds memories. I layered the textures thick—the moon glows, the barn peels with age, and the wolves feel alive. It’s a tug-of-war between wilderness and what’s been left behind. I liked that tension: wild life moving forward, and the old world holding on.
