Artist Inspiration: During a visit to my parents’ house in Sun Valley, Idaho, local shopkeepers nudged me to showcase more of the town’s beloved landmarks through my art, eager to sell my cards. Inspired by their enthusiasm, I embarked on capturing the essence of the quaint town, starting with the iconic Sun Valley barn. I positioned the weathered red barn on a bed of spring green grass against a backdrop of purple hues on a refreshingly crisp day. The contrast of the deep purple-blue sky against the barn, with a leading line of a meandering fence, created a serene and familiar local scene. As I painted, I could almost sense the coolness of the grass beneath my feet, stirring my curiosity about the secrets hidden within the barn’s nostalgic walls.
