Artist Inspiration: Where There’s Smoke came from my love of those quiet camping moments. Atiny fire somehow feels bigger than the whole landscape around it, and the sky takes up most of the painting, heavy with moody blues and streaks of fiery sunset color, the small glowing fire quietly becomes the center of everything.
I loved playing with the contrast between the cool evening tones and the warmth of the flame. The soft wisp of smoke drifting upward adds a sense of life and movement, almost like the land itself is breathing. Even though the scene is simple, it carries that feeling of warmth, reflection, and the comfort of light holding its own against the coming dark.
