Baldy (Stretched Canvas)

I wanted this painting to feel full of personality and curiosity. I focused closely on his face, using loose, expressive marks to capture the texture of his wool and the details in his features. His head tilted and wide eyes give him a playful, inquisitive expression, as if he’s looking right at me. I kept the background dark and simple so the warm yellows, creams, and soft blues of his face cold really stand out. To me, Baldy feels confident, curious, and just a little mischievous.
