Artist Inspiration: This painting began when I spotted a weathered old car on my drive from Montana to Idaho. Choosing the right color was a bit of a puzzle, but I settled on a vibrant emerald green to make it stand out. I especially enjoyed creating the reflections and detailing the headlights, which added depth and realism. There’s something about abandoned vintage cars in the western landscape that draws me a sense of history and nostalgia. To give the scene life, I added a distant cabin, a quiet reminder that stories and memories linger even as time passes. A flock of birds soaring through the Montana sky brings movement and energy to the open space. I considered titles like Days By Gone or Pop-Pop’s Truck, but in the end, I simply named it Yesterday.
