Artist Inspiration: I never seem to tire painting this beloved Sun Valley barn. For this version, I chose a moody winter sky with drips and streaks that feel a bit like rain on a window, giving the barn a quiet, stoic presence. Snow rests lightly on the pines, creating a sense of being caught between seasons—or perhaps between storms. I deliberately left out the fence. It felt unnecessary. Maybe this barn is simply too iconic, too much a part of the valley’s story, to be contained.
