Stuck on You (Stretched Canvas)

Description

Original SOLD

Print of original oil on canvas.

Artist Inspiration: This piece was painted at the persistent request of my husband, Bruce, a veterinarian who has pulled more porcupine quills than most could imagine. For years, he asked for this painting. I hesitated, unsure how to depict an animal so often associated with pain in a way that reflected the quiet strength he sees in it. Over time, I began to understand his admiration.: not just the quills, but the quiet resilience. The porcupine, with its silent defenses and solitary nature, carries a kind of dignity. The instinct to protect without aggression. This porcupine is a nod to the untold stories of wild encounters. It’s a tribute, not just to the animal, but to the man who sees beauty where others might see burden.
