Artist Inspiration: I painted this piece in that quiet, instinctive place where I’m not overthinking—just following color and feeling. The mountain came first, tall and narrow, layered in deep blues and sap greens like it’s holding something close. I tucked that orb into the crag at the top almost without thinking—it felt like a presence, something steady watching over it all. The stream found its way through on its own, soft movement through all that depth. And then the cabin… I didn’t want it to shout. I wanted it to be missed at first, hidden beneath the trees, just a small glow of warmth against all that cool shadow. The foreground broke open in oranges and yellows—because I needed that contrast, that little bit of life pushing forward. This one feels like a reminder to slow down… because the best parts aren’t always the loudest—they’re the ones you have to really look for.
